"I joined golf to get outside more and to make more freinds. Family is a big part of my life, as I am the middle child and baby-sit every day. I am Hispanic, but my Spanish is at a begginning level. I hope that golf helps me overcome obstacles in my life."
- Claypool, Tylexis 11th -first year
"I joined golf because it is the perfect opportunity to learn a new sport. I also find the sport of golf to be very soothing. I have met some amazing teammates. I have on sister and five brothers. In my spare time I enjoy reading. I can play four instruments inluding the violin, keyboard, erhu (a Chinese two-stringed musical instrument) and a ruan (a traditional Chinese, four-stringed musical instrument)."
- Davis, Courtney 12th -first year
- Lauderdale, Isis 12th -second year
"I joined golf to get out the house because I'm home everyday and I think playing golf is adventurous. I like golf because you learn how to communicate in creative ways, like playing silently and talking with your opponent. Playing golf allows me to travel to different places and meet new friends. Golf allows me to interact with others in ways that a regular school environment doesn't allow. It helps me with self- esteem because in golf you have good shots and bad shots. Finally I like golf because everyone can enjoy it not matter what age you are."
- Rosado, Selena 12th -first year
- Stacy, Jenna 12th (Captain)-fourth year
- Washington, Zabaneeka 12th -first year
"I am new to golf and joined my senior year. I joined golf because I am a very curious person and the idea of playing golf intriqued me. I am so happy and proud to represent my school and this my first athletic team experience at Calumet New Tech High School. On a personal note, I have one sister and two pets with two loving parents at home. I can definitely say golf is fun and it creates great friendship building by playing the sport."
