The Warriors start the year off losing to NCSAA champions Victory Christian. VCA came in having started their season a couple of weeks early having already played seven games. The Warriors started strong but looked a step slow trying to build chemistry with 4 new starters in the lineup. The Warriors are coming off Back 2 Back Sectional Finals and return 5 from Last Season’s Conference Championship Team. The Warriors were led by Jerell Johnson who scored 22points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Charles Payne chipped in with 15 points and Freshman Ashton Williamson debuted with 10 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists. The Warriors look to bounce back next Saturday at Bishop Noll with a 7pm start time.
