The Calumet High School Boys Cross Country Team competed at the Bob Thomas Invitational at Lowell High School. There were 25 teams at the meet and many of the best teams in the region were there. This was the first time this season that the boys competed against high level competition like this. The boys handled the pressure very well and everyone ran season best times. Riley Reeder was 76th place and ran a time of 18:36. This was a season best time by 56 seconds and an all time best time for him as well. John Tobon-Perez was 111th place and running a time of 20:19. This was a season best time for him by 19 seconds. William Negron was 141st place in a time of 23:14 and Seth Hunt was 142nd place in a time of 23:15. These were season best times for both by over a minute and an all time best time for Seth Hunt. The boys competed very well and ran tough throughout the race. This was our best meet of the season by far and we took a big step forward on Saturday. We were missing a few guys, but looking to get them back soon. We are continuing to train hard and prepare for the New Prairie Invitational this coming Saturday.
