Warriors News · Calumet Girls’ Tennis Falls short against Hanover Central in a 1-4 Loss


Our Lady Warriors Tennis Team put up a good fight on last night against Hanover Central in a 1-4 loss. We are now 4-1 on the season.

Leading the team was:
Sophmore #3 Singles player Nia Pullins in a 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 Tiebreaker win against Junior Jessica Walters (HC) Nia fell short in the first set but quickly pulled herself together and defeated her opponent. She never quit!

Junior #1 Singles player Samantha Stull fought hard but fell short in a 3-6, 4-6 loss against Senior Natalie Haits (HC)
Junior #2 Singles player Antionette Ulrich left her heart on the court but fell short in a 3-6, 2-6 loss against Junior Katelynn Harrell (HC)

Juniors #1 Doubles team Macaiah Walton and Margarita Weathersby played with heart in a 3-6, 3-6 loss against Seniors Ariana Arce and Sydney Reinbold (HC)
Sophomores #2 Doubles team Crysta Hernandez and Arelis Acosta fell short in a 7-5, 1-6, 1-6 loss against Juniors Paige Kubiak and Megan Clark (HC)

Our JV team which consist of Trenadee Johnson, Gisselle Villamar, Nayelle Gallegos, Olivia Bittke, Elizabeth Bittke, Emily Jessop, LaDanna Walton, and Alyssa Garreffa all did an awesome job on last night as well. They all played with heart and determination.
